Design systems

Working with the Washington Post's election team, I designed systems and features to enhance newsroom stories and provide readers with comprehensive election information at the local level while illustrating its impact on the national political landscape. Due to the nature of election coverage, projects involved rapid user testing and frequent feedback collection from election subject-matter experts.

Example Projects

  • Interactive maps displaying local election results and their national implications.

  • Dynamic tables of congressional seats, highlighting changes and trends over time.

  • Visual representations of voter demographics, turnout, and other relevant statistics.

  • App features that used geolocation to allow users to find and follow elections important to them.

  • Real-time updates and notifications for election results and important news.
